of a full range of compensation and benefits programs. We inventory existing jobs
and audit current pay levels. We create
job descriptions or alternative documentation of job content. We price benchmark jobs in the marketplace. We determine the relative internal value of jobs. We delineate wage and salary structures and compare actual to target pay levels. We devise merit increase and salary budgeting programs and
project payroll costs. We identify
short‑term incentive pay and total cash compensation opportunities and link those opportunities to performance data. We examine long‑term
incentive opportunities for client positions and fit those opportunities to marketplace practice. We analyze noncash employee benefits and executive perquisites provided by client organizations and their marketplace
counterparts.
In consulting assignments, we employ a variety of statistical
